Is it possible to change the meaning of a word by changing its design?
The Dutch word allochtoon originally meant a foreigner. When I arrived in Amsterdam in the 1990s, the word was used to describe immigrant minorities and their descendants who settled in the Netherlands.
A victim of the growing conflict between different cultures, the word acquired a pejorative connotation. 
The Allochtoon T-shirt was the first T-shirt designed by Mindwhatyouwear, taking on the challenge of redesigning the word allochtoon, thinking of all the qualities that a foreign culture can add to an established one.
